Hello all,
I am rebuilding my PC a bit, adding more memory and a fresh ssd for Windows. At the same time, I'm planning to move from my illegal version of Win7 to a genuine version of Win10.
My problem is as follows: my PC does not have a CD-ROM, so I need to install from USB. I've downloaded the Windows Media Creation Tool and am running it from my E:-drive, which has 400gb+ of free space. However, the creation tool complains that it needs at least 8gb of free space and quits on me.
There's a 16GB empty flashdrive present, the only thing I can think of myself is that the tool automatically downloads the installation files to c:, which indeed has less than 8gb free space (which is why I'm replacing it).
Any way to solve this? Or am I being thick and overlooking something obvious?
