How to download a windows os disk

I have a product key windows 10 pro. Where do I find the disk online and download it? I would like also windows 10 disk in case I need to reformat my upgrade? I had window 8.1 but I know that soon there is no free upgrade.

You can download the Windows Media Creation Tool to create a Windows 10 DVD or USB stick that has the full Windows 10 installation. Just be sure to download the same Windows 10 version that you have (i.e. Home or Pro).

The Media Creation Tool creates an install disk (DVD or USB Stick) that is used to install Windows 10, just like you would install any previous version of Windows. If you're doing a fresh install, select Custom (not Upgrade).

1. Download above tool
2. run (may have to choose "for installation on other PC" or similar so you can burn the image to DVD. I forget exactly.)

3. ISO will download, then burn to DVD.

To upgrade:
Option #1 - insert DVD with Windows running and start "setup.exe" the follow instructions for a clean or upgrade installation, or

Option #2 - use a blank drive (i.e. new SSD or format old drive), unhook other drives to be safe, then BOOT to the DVD and start the installation.

*NOTE* - do NOT put in a key during installation since it's for a PC with an activated W8.1 already (even with the blank drive it's fine). This will be handled automatically. So just SKIP that option.
