I recently bought my ASUS VP249QGR. I was told I have to manually turn on the 144hz. When I went in to the settings of windows, the highest option is only 60hz. My PC runs on AMD A8-7600, and no GPU, I only rely on the onboard graphics.
Make and model of your motherboard? Most likely you're not going to be able to go to 144Hz without a discrete GPU that allows FreeSync or has support for FreeSync over HDMI or DisplayPort.
