How to enable all 4 processors for quad core ?

But only 1 processor is maxing out at 100% the other 3 are not being used. I play multiple games in different browsers. Do I need a different system to play multiple games (Minimum of 3 at a time) ?

if the games only run on one core you can't force them to run on more. how many cores are used on BF3/4?

try disabling core parking,maybe you will acheave a better core utilization

software must be made to use multiple cores
otherwise the software thinks there is only 1 core and every proces goes to the first core
the only thing you can do is to force the software to use another core
you can do this by go to taskmanager>proces right click on the proces and click on affinity (core 0 is the first core)

Does that mean I have to pick the core for ea browser & every time I start the browser ? & what about PC restart will settings stay ?

that depends on the program ur using in my situation i force to set antivirus on my 4th core and windows wil remender your settings
windows always tries to run everything at 1core if thats full loaded it goes to the next core (too save power consumpsion)
only if your program is made for multicore its going to seperate te tasks to all cores

My Q9450 works just fine. Most of the time only one core is used because that is all that is necessary. When playing games typically only 2 cores are used because the games I play only makes use of 2 cores.

Sometimes I encode movies while at the same time I am playing games. Then all 4 cores are being used. I set the video encoder to only use 2 cores (it can use up to 4). However, if I am encoding videos and not playing games then I don't bother with limiting the encoding program to just 2 cores.

I have changes some settings & it is running better. I will put my anti virus on core 4, Thank you for your advice & replys
