How to erase my hdd and ssd

Hi,
I am needing to erase my hdd and ssd dew to general clutter. I was wondering how I whould go about this swing as I have a hdd and an ssd that need clearing. If it is possible to Debian the hdd and use some other type of software to erase the ssd than that should be good. If people have got any ideas on how to about this than I am all ears

Well if you just need to clear up a drive full of clutter the easiest way is just to format it. It doesn't "wipe" your drive but it will just eventually write over it. It saves wear on the drive over a wipe like when you sell a hard drive. If you are going to sell, trade or otherwise transfer your drive you need a proper drive wipe though.

The reason that I whant to erase my ssd is dew to the face that it is full of things that I don't whant on ti but are to delicate to move. clearing it whould be the best option for me
