I am migrating my OS (windows 8.1) to a SSD, so I cloned what I could to the SSD from my origional hardrive. However upon entering the BIOS, and navigating to what I can assume is the boot portion of the bios, I was greeted with two identical drives. Now, despite making a backup, I do not want to end up in a situation where I have to use it, so I dont want to clarify by formating the one drive. If anyone has a suggestion, I would appreceate it.

Solution
Moving from a HDD to SSD should be done by a full reinstall, since there are many optimizations that the OS makes to improve performance and SSD life.

As for the issue here, are you sure they are identical or is one labeled with EFI? It sounds like the names just got jumbled and it's actually an EFI program partition and then the actual OS partition. A repair from install media (not repair install or re-install) might fix that.
