How to find a program in Windows 10

With the welcome return of the Start menu, finding your way around Windows 10 is easier than ever. Navigation is one key aspect of Windows 10 that has steadily improved but isn’t without its foibles. If you cannot find something, or want to find a program in Windows 10, there are a few ways to do it. Here are some of them.

Find a program in Windows 10
There are several ways to find programs within Windows 10. Pick the one you like best.

1. Click the Windows Start button. Most used programs will feature at the top.
2. Click All apps at the very bottom of the menu to see all recognized programs.

Or:

1. Open Windows Explorer and Navigate to a hard drive.
2. You will see folders contained within that drive. Select one to explore further.
3. If you use C: drive, most programs will be within Program Files or Program Files (x86) if you use 64-bit Windows.

Or:

Ask Cortana if you have it enabled.

Or:

1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Type the program name in the top right where it says ‘Search…’.

Or:

Type the program name into the Search Windows box.

Or:

Find and left click the program shortcut on your desktop.
