Hello!
On my MBP, my battery has been dropping from 100 -> 25% in < 2 hours, with: Chrome, Spotify, Telegram running.
I've been trying so many things like SMC reset, test account, safe mood, reinstalling macOS with my files/programs intack and my battery still drains like crazy.
Today I tried creating a new partition and installing macOS anew - and it seems like the battery is pretty stable here. 100 -> 90% in 1 hour, which is pretty good, compared to what I had previously. So that rules out the hardware issue.
This brings me to what I dread most... Having to restart from scratch. I'd hate to have to wipe out my entire mac (lots of configs and settings).
Is there a way to find out what EXACTLY is causing my battery drain on my main partition? I've used activity monitor before and the applications seem to be running ok, so I am not sure if it is some process in the background. However, under 'CPU' there is indeed a lot of items there, so maybe there are some background processes ?
How can I pinpoint exactly what's acting up, without having to reinstall my entire MacOS (and starting afresh)?
Mac Specs:
MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports)
Processor 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
Memory 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Thank you!
