How to fix a fan header pins?

Solution

yes it is not a factory defect. both will operate but you will only get a speed reading from the one connector with 4 pins. the other fan will still work fine. one connector on the mainboard can only read the speed from one fan. if they are both the same fan both fans will...
The fan to which the 3-wire connector is attached won't be able to report its speed. It's not possible to have a tachometer connection on a Y-splitter cable because both fans would be trying to report their speed over the same wire. That's why the second connector only has 3 wires.

So your implying that this is not a factory defect and connecting my two fans to this y-connectors will operate but not report its speed? So is there no need for me to worry?

yes it is not a factory defect. both will operate but you will only get a speed reading from the one connector with 4 pins. the other fan will still work fine. one connector on the mainboard can only read the speed from one fan. if they are both the same fan both fans will be spinning the same speed at the same voltage so it wont mater.

if they are diffrnet fans they will be spinning at different speeds but still will be at what ever % you set it to so it still doesn't mater.
