[SOLVED] How to fix a wireless dongle

Anyone know how to fix a wireless mouse USB dongle? Its to an alienware 610M and the shielding on the dongle got stuck in my laptops usb port so i had to spend a couple hours fishing it out of my laptops usb port, i spent a couple more hours talking to dell support to get a replacement and with no dice so far im looking here for a DIY solution. My best bet is just to use some hot glue and adhesive the usb shielding to the rest of the dongle which still works, and forever use it on a usb extender.

Don't use hotglue, use JB Weld instead. Wait for it to cure and then use it to your heart's content.
