After remove viruses using Hitman Pro, my win 7 stops booting and only showed a BSOD. Safe Mode and the rest of that menu wasn't working either.
Only option available was Recovery Console.
Creating a new BCD solved the problem and Win 7 is booting normally again!

Great article. Saved my laptop. Tried a bunch of things and was about to throw in the towel and reformat/reinstall windows on my system when I found this. Thank you for posting this "How to". My husband closed my son's laptop while he had a game running. That corrupted the operating system so badly that it would not restart at all, not even autofix. I googled this site and was able to try several steps listed here, all of which failed unfortunately, until I got to the "create a recovery disc". I created it on my own laptop and was able to get my son's computer up and running again. This saved me (ahem, rather, my husband) a few hundred dollars at the repair shop!! Thanks again.

just copy file "bootmgr" to C: drive that should work!
