Question How to flash bios

I have a dell optiplex 3010 with h1m61r-mb mobo. I need to flash the bios but I don’t know how with out a bios flashback button.

Go here, get the BIOS update, and install it. Dell makes it easy.

@COLGeek , yeah, the other thing is... after I reset the bios the monitor doesn’t display anything.

As far as you can tell, was the update successful (did it fully install)?

What, if anything, did you change on your system BEFORE you applied a BIOS update?

@COLGeek, I didn’t change anything. I didn’t update the bios. I removed the cmos battery for 30 minutes. After I put it back in and connected the power, it didn’t display to the monitor.

Why did you remove the battery? What are you trying to do?

@COLGeek i removed it because the bios had a password. The computer is a hand me down. I couldn’t get the password so I tried to reset the cmos by removing the battery. Now it doesn’t display an image and based on what I read, I think I have to flash the bios.
