I'm in the process of ordering my whole build and I have no clue how to flash a bios to a motherboard. I am getting the Asus Maximus Hero VII mobo. All the videos and webpages I have found are either really old (4+ years) or are on updating the bios. I don't know if there's a difference with updating and flashing.
At any rate, if anybody would be kind enough to link me a video, webpage or just plain tell me what to do, I would be very grateful. Thanks!

Read the manual.

That mobo like other ASUS mobos support ez flash. Get the BIOS extract it put it on a flash drive. Or the hdd if its UEFI.

Go into the BIOS under the tools menu, select ez flash, go to the BIOS update flash it. Wait for it to finish thats it

That mobo also supports ASUS USB BIOS Flashback

You extract / rename the BIOS to whatever the manual says. Plug the flash drive into the right USB port for flashback. The LED on the mobo flashes, Wait for it to stop thats it
