how to format ssd for uefi

m having a lil bit of trouble upgrading my alienware i've bought an ssd 120g kingston one iwant to install my os it so what i did i took a factory image from the alienrespwan into a 32g flash drive then i removed my original hdd 1000gb wd black and installed the ssd only but the problem is this laptop came with 64g msata ssd set to raid 0 with my 1tb hdd so im stuck idont know what to do i tried to remove the msata and set the bios to ahci and install the factory reset from the flash drive but ididnt boot soo if any one have an idea or an advice please help and thank you

Sounds like your flash drive isn't bootable but just has a copy of your factory restore partition on it which wont be bootable on its own either.
