How to fully remove Catalyst control center and AMD drivers?

So recently, I have had to remove my GPU due to it being DOA. This means my display is over scaled, and i cannot see the edge of the screen. A friend suggested I remove CCC and AMD drivers, as I no longer have a card in, and am waiting for it to be replaced. However, whenever i go to uninstall it, it just hangs, with no actual progress, and I cannot find CCC in the programs list in the unistall menu.

My question, like the title, is how can i remove it? can I manually delete the files?

It should be listed as "AMD Catalyst Install Manager". It will do the un-installing and you should tell to remove the install manager too. If it is not there, perhaps it is why you were having problems. When you installed the driver in the first place and had problems, did you ever try to uninstall it and re-install when you still had the card? If so, and you are still having problems, you may need a program like Revo Uninstaller, as it is quite a bit more thorough than windows uninstaller. There is a free version you could try. Have you tried using the Windows driver to re-size your screen. Control Panel > Display. The windows graphics driver has quite a few features for 2D (non-gaiming) tasks.

Did you fix it?

Because my old XP PC does the following

Whenever I go to either `uninstall` AMD/ATI Drivers

or

`Install` AMD/ATI (updated) drivers; on BOTH occasions (hundreds of times) the computer auto-reboots halfway through the process (on XP).

A fix would be nice, as I am forced to remain on 640x resolution on a 1080p monitor using a 512Mb XTX1950 graphics card connected via HDMI.

Thank you.
Even "Repair/add features to the driver set would cause a BSoD"
Good program reviews for DDU (I hadn`t heard of it b4).
