[SOLVED] How to get 240 fps in CS GO

I bought myself an 240 hz monitor but struggle to get 240 fps in CS Go . I currently getting between 160 - 190 fps.
Reducing graphic did not make a huge difference, +- 10 fps more.I want to upgrade my computer to play CS GO comfortably on 240 fps.What do I upgrade?CPU or GPU?

PC Specs:
CPU -i5 3570k 3.4Ghz
Graphics Card -Gigabyte GV-N970WF3OC-4GD GTX 970 Windforce 3X
Ram -Corsair 8GB DDR3-1600MHz Vengeance (2 x 4gb)
Monitor -Alienware AW2518H 25"

You need a faster CPU

I think it was an error buying a 240hz monitor with that pc specs, they are not enough for 240fps in game, get a better cpu, CSGO eats all your cpu, and ddr4 ram

I don't know about your gpu, i think even the 970 is not enough for stable 240fps.

Is your i5 overclocked, a little bit of OC could extract some more juice out of it (as long as you know what youre doing and have a capable cooler) ?

Besides having 2x4GB of RAM, Are you sure is working on dual channel, Did you check this using CPU-Z?

You really want to OC that core i5 as far as possible to get close to the 240fps mark.

However, as said above, the best way to get more performance is to upgrade to a newer platform, whether that be a 9th/10th Gen Intel Core i5 or Ryzen 5 3rd Gen CPU.
