Hi,

I am in a weird situation. Actually I bought a Lenovo 75 Hz 27 inch monitor to use with my laptop ASUS GL502VM.
The laptop has an HDMI port which can give a max refresh rate of 60 Hz when connected with my new monitor and the monitor I bought has limited connectivity options. One VGA and one HDMI port. Now I want to utilize the 75Hz refresh rate given by the monitor but I am unable to do so. So is there any way we can achieve the 75 Hz refresh rate?
I do have a mini display port so do I need to buy Display to VGA cable/converter? I am doing this for the first time so I just need to know what will be the best possible scenario to get best out of the monitor.

Thanks

The monitor is Lenovo D27-20 27 inch Full HD IPS Panel.
I read the thread that you suggested, thanks for that, and as far as I am able to understand best bet will be to have a Mini display port to VGA adapter. The VGA will go to the monitor as it give me more refresh rate than HDMI.
