Question How to get Blender 4.0.0 to work on Linux mint with my GPU?

I am trying to get Blender 4.0.0 to work with my RX 6800 on Linux Mint, but because Linux Mint doesn't install the correct drivers (to support blender in linux) for the GPU, I can't select it as an option to run the benchmark. I can only use my 7700x. Is there any way to get up to date (or at least supported by blender) drivers in Linux mint?

I didn't even think of that. I didn't even know they had a forum. I was chatting with @COLGeek and he had no idea what to do. I tried to create an account there but it keeps giving me an error of "the solution you provided was incorrect" I don't even know what that is referring to.

Bottom line is that until someone gets around to writing, packaging & deploying the drivers for your particular distribution you have what you have.

Another thing about Linux Mint. It is meant to be a stable OS, and consequently some software won't be of very newest date.

You could test out a distro having different philosophy, such as Fedora or Manjaro.
