Looking to shack up with someone in the world of Skyrim, but not sure how to express your interests? No problem, here's how you can easily get your point across and set everything up with that lucky individual.
Step 1)Speak to Maramal in Riften.
When you first enter the Bee and Barb tavern, you will find Maramal here preaching. If you have already seen him here but didn't speak to him, he will be located in the temple of Mara instead. Speak with him about how to get married and he will let you know that you can wear an amulet of Mara to show someone you are interested in marriage. He will offer to sell you one of these, but you can find them in your travels as well.
Step 2)Find someone to get married to.
You'll need to find someone to marry, and a list of the available NPCs can be found here. Once you've decided who you would like to marry, wear the amulet and go talk to them. They will need to like you before they will agree to this, so doing quests or favors for them first and the dialog option for arranging the wedding will appear once they like you enough. Once you've got them to agree to marry you, speak with Maramal to set up the wedding for the next day.
Step 3)Show up to the wedding.
You don't want to miss your own wedding! Show up on time and take part in the ceremony to become officially wed to your spouse. The timing of the wedding can be a bit buggy, so it's best to wait outside the temple in one hour incriments until you see your spouse show up. Once you are married you'll just need to pick a place to live, which can be either one of your own homes or your spouses home.
Remember, the house that you choose to live in is not a permanent choice. You cn speak with your spouse at any time to relocate.
