Question How to get uefi on my motherboard?

Hello everyone, I am trying to upgrade to an ssd and also upgrade from windows 8.1 to 10 pro. I have TBGM01-1.0-8EKS3H(motherboard number) gateway fx6800 o1e
I do not think I currently have uefi and I am hoping I can update the bios or use another bios? I really don't know much about this stuff and hope you can assist. I will be refreshing the page every couple minutes. Thank you!

You will have to get update file for the BIOS from Gateway, the manufacturer. Check their support web page.

It has to come from the manufacturer and I've never heard of a manufacturer updating a non-UEFI BIOS to a UEFI BIOS after release of a motherboard.

Ok I guess that means no, I've checked gateway and what they have isn't even usable on windows 8.1.

Besides, UEFI is a management system that is backward compatible. If you did upgrade your BIOS you are then faced with a fundamental change to your nonvolatile memory devices. It's a pain; start from a new system, ;-)
