Hello,

Sorry if this is the wrong section to post my question. Feel free to move it if necessary.

I developed an interactive e-learning presentation that requires dozens of files to work. So, for example, there is a flash segment with 4 different options that go to 4 different MP4 movies. There are lots of options to choose that go to different files (movies, animations, etc), so for the system to work, the instruction is "On click" => go to file "XXXX.MP4" (for example). So, in order to work the file "XXXX.MP4" must exist with its name
I will sell this e-learning presentation as a DVD, but I don't want that the users open the DVD with Windows Explorer and see / copy the files.
Is there a way to encrypt or hide the files in the DVD folders?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long explanation.

Solution
It doesn't matter what you do to the files on the disk. Once it's out and about in the wild you have absolutely no control over how, when, where, etc. users access the data. If your application can read it so can the user. Also keep in mind that all of this obfuscation you intend to do will also affect you and your application, so you'll need to factor that into the development plans.

Thank you for your answer.
Can you suggest how to do this?

TIA

Marshall

One question....Why?
All your hiding and encryption is merely a speedbump for someone that wants to "copy" it.

Because it is a Customer's request...🙁

Solution
The standard adage of "The Customer is always right"....until he isn't.
Every DRM scheme that has been tried has been broken.

I can't think of a way to hide or encrypt files on a DVD from the user, but not from the application that the user uses.
