Question How to hide the status notifications of a person in Whatsapp Desktop?

Hi All,
I use Whatsapp (Android and Desktop). Although I was able to hide the Status notifications of a certain person in the Android version, I am not able to do this in the Desktop version. Any tip / help to hide or block these notifications in the Desktop version?

What status notifications are you trying to hide?

Especially with respect to Desktop.

Does the issue involve Chat Lock?

If so, how?

Hello and thank you for your answer.
One of my contacts uses to post status updates all the time. According with Whatsapp Help, for the Android version is:
Mute a contact’s status update
- Open WhatsApp > Status.
- Tap and hold your contact's status update.
- Tap Mute.
This works great in the Android version. My question is: how can I mute the status updates of this person in the desktop version?

I mostly use GbWhatsapp. It has more features then normal one. Its just a new of whatsapp and its only for mobile but for the desktop you can choose assist mode in the windows from the bottom right panel.
