[SOLVED] How to identify Unknown Devices

Have a new setup going and so far so good, other than some RGB fans not being detected by the iCue software.... my main issue is I have some PCI devices that are not being identified/drivers are missing. How do I figure out what they are?

Also have an elgato 4k60 mk.2 and I am unsure if its not being detected because I havent plugged anything into it, or if it isnt being detected because its sitting in a PCI-E slot.....

Install the latest chipset drivers from here and see if that fixes it.

I did go to ASUS's website and basically downloaded every driver and none of the intel one's seemed to fix the issue. I also downloaded the Armor Crate from ASUS which I believe is supposed to install all required drivers.

can try and after unpacking right click the installer and choose run as administrator.

As a general rule, you should only need the Intel Chipset Drivers and the Intel Serial IO Drivers.

I believe that was in fact one of the ones I downloaded from ASUS's website. I'll have to check/try again this evening when I get home from work.

I did not however see a Serial IO Driver listed though.

The way the support web page is structured is confusing since it just shows the first file in each category. It helps if you click the option to Expand All at the top of the page so that you see every file in the Chipset category including the Serial IO file, which should be listed second.

Ah that was it - I read it as version history and not different files. That took care of the unknown PCI drivers however I am still missing one for the RAID Controller and one for the USB Controller.

Install Intel RST (SATA) and Thunderbolt drivers.
