I've had to remove the 3.5 and 2.5 HDD tray to make room for my power source, so the 2.5 HDD bracket seems to be my only choice. However, the 2.5 HDD bracket seems to be missing!! Please tell me I'm dumb.
If your PC does not see a lot of kicks, you can leave your SSD hanging inside in the drive bay, held by just the cables, until you find proper tray / bracket.
It is also very popular to use double sided tape on SSDs, and stick them in aesthetically pleasing spaces (Behind motherboard tray, along cable management locations, etc)
I want to buy an SSD for use as a Windows 7 boot drive. My case's 3.5" bays are full of conventional 3.5" hard drives now, so I will need to use an empty 5.25" bay. I can think of two options for mounting an SSD: 1. Use a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter for the SSD then mount that in a 3.5" to 5.25" bay...
The case manual didn't show the SSD mounts where they actually were, but rather where a suggested place to put them was. I figured it out though, thanks
