Hey, I was searching on Asus website and theyr FAQ list, there is no mention in what order the BIOS should be updated, so maybe you guys will know this one.

Mobo is Asus PRIME Z690-P D4

Current BIOS version is 0407

There is 2 more newer versions 0603 and 0605

Should i install 0603 first and then 0605,
or can i go from 0407 straight to the newest 0605

Solution
Normally, installing the latest version is the correct thing to do.
The bios manual or the support web site should have a FAQ if some special order is needed.

On a new build, where not much will be impacted, I will install the latest.
Otherwise, on a running system, only update the bios if it contains a fix to something that is impacting you.

In the past, a failed flash could brick your motherboard.
For example, a power failure during the process.
Today, recovery should work.
To minimize risk, update via usb and not via a windows app.
No, but i figured why not to update it to the newest, just in case

You are taking a risk for no known benefit.

"Why not" and "just in case" would not be anywhere near enough reason for me.

My BIOS is 5 years old, the one that came with my motherboard originally.

If you find the new BIOS irresistible, you will upgrade to it regardless. The attraction of "new stuff". If you are going to be unhappy if you don't upgrade, then do it.

Normally, you can go directly from old to new, but I don't know the details of your motherboard. Do you see any BIOS notes that tells you to NOT do that?

Some folks would tell you to upgrade one BIOS at a time, which exposes you to the risk more than once.

I went scouting on the internet, and saw quit a few posts having problems with XMP on this mobo, my xmp was off since this pc is a day old.
But now while trying to enable it, pc boot loops for a minute and then this screen appears.
So i guess that would be a good reason to try bios update
