how to install programmes on another drive apart from boot drive

hi guys..
I have windows 8 pro 64 bit running on my 128gb ssd and I want to know how to install programmes where they don't go into the ssd but another drive that I have on the pc?

Just install the programs to the drive letter known to HDD. Like C: is SSD D: is HDD. So install the programs to D: drive. It will not go to SSD and remain on HDD.

on some programs to do this you must not chose the quick install option as it will default to C:

Chose custom or advanced (or whatever) and it will give you the option of where to install too. Make a "Programs" folder on your D: drive so you can install stuff to there. (D:\Programs)
