How to Install R7 265?

This is my first time upgrading a graphics card. I have a pre built Dell PC with Intel Core i5 4440 with Intel HD integrated graphics. I've installed a new 600W power supply and the R7 265 is plugged in the PCIE port and 6 pin connector. When I connect an HDMI cable to the new graphics card and my monitor, the monitor does not display anything/ does not turn on. But with the integrated graphics, it works fine. From what I've researched, the integrated graphics should automatically disable when a new GPU is added, but that was not the case for me. So instead I went to Device Manager and disable the integrated graphics, but the dedicated GPU didn't work. As well as that, in BIOS I could not find any option for me to disable the integrated graphics, and I also didn't find an option to make the PCIE slot the first option for displaying.

Please help. Thank you

Bah, I don't think they have the option. Hmmm, do you have any other pc you can test the GPU out on? As of right now, we have one of 2 possible problems.

1: Mobo isn't detecting GPU and is forcing the onboard instead
-a: This can be caused by either a dead video card
-b: Or a wonky mobo that refuses to recognize the GPU
2: Also possible the GPU isn't getting enough power, but since you got a new PSU I don't think thats the issue.

My suggestion would be to first see if you can test it on another pc. If thats not an option I would think about sending it back as DOA. Especially if you bought it from a brick and mortar store.
I have tried to install the latest drivers, but they do not work because it does not connect to the 265. I don't believe that the GPU is incompatible with my CPU because on pcpartpicker, it shows that they are compatible.

Dell Inspiron 660. Specifically the i3847-4616BK model
