how to install through external hard drive

hi all,
i have taken out hdd from my all in one lenovo pc running windows vista home basic. all my usb ports and dvd drive are dead.the reason for taking out hdd was i accidently deleted boot partition or whatever and the pc refused to boot by all methods. it would not even enter safe mode.
i have purchsed hdd sleeve comnected to laptop and taken back up.

can i install my laptp windows 10 on this hdd and put it back in desktop and it will boot up again normaly.

That is highly unlikely to work.

any os 7 or 10 as my pc had vista which is no longer supported by MS.

Is this a desktop or an All-In-One?
If a desktop, simply replace the DVD drive. $15-$20.

The OS needs to be installed on the hard drive while it is in the system where it will run.

It's all in on Lenovo model 3000 with built in DVDs drive.

Without a working DVD drive or USB port, you're pretty much out of luck.

So I need to replace the DVD drive correct ?
I wish I could somehow use PS2 port or the firewire port for recovery
Can I take out the display lcd and connect it to laptop somehow externally as second screen
