After I build my PC, I plan to install Windows 10 on it. But I'm not entirely sure how to.

How should I get windows 10? USB? Disc?
What are the steps to installing Windows 10 on the initial bootup of your PC?

Thanks in advance, everyone.

Solution
1) Buy Windows 10 (USB, Disc, or Digital Key) from a vendor like Newegg or Amazon.

2) If using a USB or Disc that is then shipped to you, you would insert the media into your PC and restart the computer. You will be prompted to boot into the Disc or USB, at which point you follow the Windows Installation instructions to install the OS on your new PC.

2.1) If you just want to buy a digital key and have a USB drive of your own handy, you can download the Windows 10 installer from the Windows website here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO

-Follow the instructions on creating the bootable USB drive. After that you'll insert it into your system and boot into the installer just like you would in the step above.

Make sure you request 64-bit win10. Your retail media will have both 64 and 32 bit, select 64-bit.

Once you install win10 sends a profile to MS so that you can re-install even if you don't have the win10 key.

Suggest you get windows update run a few times before you do any web browsing. That will get you security fixes that might not be on the media you purchase.

Plan on a few hours for the install.
