Yes you can and it works just fine. That means there is no way to install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware.
The caveat being, that it could STOP working with any Microsoft update. Possible? Yes with various workarounds. Will it continue to work? Unknown.Yes you can and it works just fine.
Example
1366 platform with old BIOS
CPU Xeon 5680 from 2009/10
DDR3
Windows 11 working on it almost 4 years now.👍
I agree 100% Microsoft is well Microsoft. The caveat being, that it could STOP working with any Microsoft update. Possible? Yes with various workarounds. Will it continue to work? Unknown.
On supported hardware, it will suggest this itself. Can I upgrade Windows 11 from 10 directly and how?
Thank you.
Or, you could have left it on WIN 10, and had that same (so far) 1,460 days.My take on this issue is out of the 4 years I have used Windows 11 on the non supported hardware I have gotten 1.460 day out of an cast off system and even if Microsoft send the black bullet over the internet and things change tomorrow I would have lost nothing for the extra milage I gained.
