How to Install windows 7 in my pc, having only 1gb of ram?

I want to know that, Is it possible to install windows 7 Ultimate in AMD Althon(tm) 64X2 Dual Core Prcs 3600+ 2.00Ghz nd 1GB of Ram on it??

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit (WHY would you pay for Ultimate?) requires 2GB RAM

Microsoft set the ram to 2GB minimum. Unless you can somehow alter the software, you will have to stay with Windows Vista, 32bit or upgrade your ram.

I've installed it on my PC that does indeed have 1GB of RAM. I've installed Home premium. However I advise against it, for me it kept crashing due to high RAM usage, and eventually my hard drive failed (not sure if that Win 7) So i'm back on XP again. Although it is possible, if you are trying to avoid the whole XP support thing, then simply get a new machine. You can find decent second hand machines that come with Windows 7 pre-installed and have at least 2gb of RAM. Though I'd get a machine with a minimum of 4gb RAM now, unless you only use wordpad.

Great idea, you should notice at least some difference. Also as mentioned before why ultimate? Home edition is good enough and cheaper.
