How to know what drivers to choose?

Sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forums. I wasn't sure where to post this.

I recently built a gaming PC and installed Win10 Pro via USB. The motherboard and GPU both came with driver discs which I am assuming are outdated. From what I know, I want to install motherboard drivers from the disc first and then update them, and download all additional drivers from online?

I only know of the motherboard, GPU, and I also got a little confused looking at the CPU drivers. If anyone can help me out by telling me what drivers I need or what parts have required drivers, that would be a big help.

Install all the drivers that come on the cd with the motherboard.
They may not be the most current, but they have been tested on that motherboard and will work.
In time, windows update may find newer ones .

And... Do not take the easy install "all" option or you will also install a bunch of trialware and useless programs.
Select drivers only.

Shouldn't need CPU drivers.

Most MB vendors will have a complete driver set available online. They will either have a single large setup with all the necessary drivers, or will list out each device independently. In such cases you download the latest version of each driver.

You should get drivers for your monitor.
You should get drivers for your GPU direct from Nvidia.

You should not necessarily need drivers for your SSD, but you might check for firmware updates (assuming a firmware update doesn't require a drive wipe, which would not be advised)

I advise against letting Windows update handle your system drivers.
