How to make convert a 4-pin fan header to a 3-pin header

I have a fan controller built into my case. I would like to controller my CPU fan with the fan controller. The fan controller only accepts 3-pin fan headers. My CPU fan has a 4-pin header.

what fan controller is it? It might've come with adapters. Mine did

You can still insert it into the 3 pin, the 4th pin is only used for pwm. Unneeded if you have a fan controller, but again the cpu fan sys I would always keep my cpu plugged into it, some mobo will not boot if there is no connection between the 2
