Question How to make two drives work?

I recently got another HDD for my windows 10 computer, All of my files and whatnot are on an old SSD with barely any space, but when I attempted to move files over I could no longer open them without going through a maze in file explorer. Is there a good way to fix this? (I've also noticed programs would not start on bootup like normal, and things like Riot Client or the MC launcher, after being opened separately, asked me to install the apps even though they are on the other drive.)

"move files"

What files, specifically?

Please give us some details on the 2 drives....size/make/model.

In the case that you were moving files over, if they were part of a program or app, such moves would require (re) installation in many cases.
You can't move active OS files to another drive in that fashion either. The only things you can move like that are data like pictures, video files, documents, installers, music, and so on. If you are trying to move OS and installed files in such a way you have to clone the drive. In the case that you have an SSD it is best left to be the OS drive and then use the HDD for storage.

Right button on drive you want to copy>copy, go to drive you want to move data to, right button>paste...?

You might want to elaborate what files you're trying to move over to the HDD. [redacted]
Mainly the only files I've tried to move are things I recognized in the program files because of the incredibly small size of the SSD (237-ish gb)

Things in "program files" can't be moved like that.
That will break all sorts of things.

Your personal files, yes. Docs/Music/video/etc.

Can you 'move' everything back, so the system works as normal?
I don't think so because there were only a few gb of space on the SSD before I tried moving things, and there was already plenty of stuff on the HDD, now mixed together.

Well, it looks like you've already screwed things up to far to go back.

Time to start over with a full OS reinstall.

What make/model is the new 1TB drive?
What was on it before you went down this road?

Model
WDC PC SN530 SDBPNPZ-256G-1006
WDC WD10EZEX-00BBHA0

SerialNumber
E823_8FA6_BF53_0001_001B_448B_49F4_729B.
WD-WCC6Y7YA0TJU

I think the HDD had around 300gb on it

I don't think that's the correct drive, the 300gb is basically just games I could redownload.
Ah....the SN520 is the 256GB C drive.
Yes, you are correct.

1TB is a WD 1TB HDD.

Well...
As said, you've gone too far down the wrong road to "fix" this.

Properly managed, the 256GB SSD is large enough.

So, you just need to start over.
Fresh OS install on the 256GB SSD.

Then, wipe everything from the 1TB HDD.
Reinstall games where you desire.
