Hello,

I would like to ask how I can maximize the gaming capability of my computer and what the best upgrade pathway would be. Specifically, I would like to know which part of my build I should upgrade first—whether I should focus on upgrading my processor or GPU. If you could also suggest any configurations or other things I can do to maximize my gaming performance, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, lads!

Specifications:

  • Processor: AMD R5 5600X
  • MOBO: MSI B550M PRO VDH WIFI
  • RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz
  • GPU: GeForce RTX™ 4060 Ti AERO OC 8G
  • SSD: M.2 2TB
  • PSU: MSI MAG A650BN

I’ve been playing some not-too-heavy games such as World War Z, Dota 2, CS:GO 2, and some more demanding offline games.

Free stuff.....proper bios and drivers then skinny down unneeded background stuff.

What are your current gaming specs? FPS etc. Do you have the Auto overclock profile enabled on your mobo? It enables the mobo to fully utilize the RAM speed and Auto overclocks the CPU and GPU as needed during gaming. You have a very decent gaming rig. A few tweaks and you can maximize your system performance. From an old school gamer and PC builder. Please advise. There are people here who can offer professional advice on upgrades. Thank you.
