I have a Coolermaster 690 III case, whose manual says it takes a top 200mm fan. However, the manual doesn't actually give mounting instructions for it (just for a radiator), and I can't find mounting holes for anything bigger than a 140mm fan. Does anyone know how to mount a 200mm fan in this case?

In case anyone else wants to know, I found the answer. It turns out the whole top of the case could be removed by releasing some clips. Doing that revealed screw holes for a 200mm fan.

This is what I did find. Your case supports fans:
http://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/review-cooler-master-cm-690-iii-never-judge-book-its-cover
Front: 1 x 200mm fan or 2 x 120/140mm fans (1 x 200mm fan, pre-installed)
Side: 2 x 120mm fans or 1 x 180/200mm fan (optional)
Top: 2 x 120/140mm fans or 1 x 180mm fan (optional)
Bottom: 1 x 120mm fan (optional)
Rear: 1 x 140mm fan (pre-installed)
HDD Drive Bay: 1 x 120mm fan (optional)

Seems like there is bit mixen information. But case is nice so :)
Haha here is other one.
http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/cooler_master_cm_690_iii_review,2.html
Top: 120/140mm fan x 2, or 200mm fan x 1 (optional)
Front: 200mm fan x 1 (installed), or 120/140mm fan x 2 , 180mm fan x 1(optional)
Rear: 120mm fan x 1 (installed)
Side: 120mm fan x 2 or 180/200mm fan x 1(optional)
Bottom: 120mm fan x 1 (optional)
HDD cage: 120mm fan x 1 (optional)

Maybe 180 and 200mm fan have same size mounting points?
And drill is made for making holes so 😀

Were you able to place the 200m fan up to the top? I can't install two of the long screws UP on the left side of the case; there just isn't enough space to even place them into the hole, let alone using a screw driver to tighten them.

I'm thinking that perhaps I can stick the long screws DOWN and through a nut, and then faster them together. But, the case doesn't come with nuts =/

Not sure if I am missing going about it the wrong way.

I have the same problem I also bought the Cooler Master 690 iii and it says on their webpage about the case here:http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower-cm690-series/cm693/
saying that it is 200mm fan capatible saying (and I'm copying and pasting)"Supports a 200mm fan at the top" so it made me think oh okay i should get the 200mm for it and now when i try to install it, it wont fit
