Hi all, I'm planning on building a new PC this winter that includes a 120GB SSD for my boot drive and a 3TB HDD for my main drive. Currently, I am sitting on a 500GB HDD and I want to move all my data on it to the 3TB drive when I build it. So, my question is, after installing Windows on the SSD, how would I clone my 500GB drive onto the 3TB drive?

Solution
You would not clone the drive. Just COPY the data over that you want.

1) Install Windows to the SSD, drivers etc.

2) Hookup both the 500GB and 3TB drives

3) change Boot Order if SSD doesn't boot (may try to boot a hard drive)

4) Copy the data to the 3TB drive
