Then this is doomed to failure.

I've never seen a PC where that was not an option.
It's an option that I really really don't want to do. I'm bad with computers and for me to disconnect stuff means I need to disassemble basically my whole PC. Last try I tried doing so my MB broke so I don't consider that an option.

Do you want to do it correctly, or do you want to half-ass it, leading to a worse configuration than you have now?

lets say we half-ass it, whats the risk? Installing windows on the wrong disk and it deleting the none existing files that are on it?

Install the OS with all the current drives in there, you will end up with a borked up, unwanted, dualboot situation.

The boot info for this new drive and OS will be merged into the boot info for the existing WD Green.

Every time you power on, you'd have to choose which drive.
If you ever take that WD Green out, or it dies...no boot for you.

From my understanding, the removel of the other disks is too make sure everything goes smoothly. If I don't remove them, theres a chance I mess up and therefore the issues you mentioned might occur. What Im asking is- If I manage to follow your steps correctly, will I be able to use my computer normally without any issues?

For what procedure?

For the clone operation, you must...repeat must....physically disconnect the old OS drive (WD Green) before you power up the first time.
This is not optional.

For the clean install, leaving all the old drive in there will end up with a totally unwanted dualboot thing.

So with either thing, there has to be some manual stuff done inside the case.

If you're capable enough to install this new drive, you are capable enough to disconnect the others.

can I maybe fully delete the OS from my WD Green and then fresh install using an external drive?

No, not the way you think.

For a new OS install, you first create a USB to install with.
Boot from that, and you can install on whatever drive you choose.

But, as said above, when there are multiple drives connected, the small boot partition WILL end up on one of the other drives.
Not something you choose or can prevent.

Read through this tutorial. It is for Win 10, but 99% the same for Win 11:

You get the MediaCreation tool to build the Win 11 USB from here:

Honestly - I don't see any need to do that.
You have plenty of free space on C: drive (173GB !). Just keep it as your OS drive.

Put other stuff in other drives.
Normally I would agree.

But his current C is a WD Green SATA III.

Pretty much the worst performer among mainstream SATA III drives.

And its only that minimal level of consumption, because this is after a "factory reset"

The instructions on how to do this have already been given, and explained in excruciating detail.
I wanted to try one last thing before I go and try to disconnect stuff from the pc.
So I tried following this toturial:
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZBDluCITmE

And it said that my windows needs repairing...

Anyhow, I guess it means that I have to disconnect the thing... Will you maybe be able to guide through VC? I'm really scared of screwing something up

Stop
What is "VC"?

Put the system back together as it was originally.
No new drive, nothing new.

Does it boot up properly?

VC stands fro Voice chat- something like discord or skype

I'm not sure what you mean by that second question though

So...

I don't know what you did to trigger the "Windows needs repairing".
I was just suggesting getting it back to original config, to make sure nothing else is wrong.

A clone or clean install needs actual functioning hardware.
If anything does not work, that needs to be fixed first.

And no, I don't do video chat.

Well, the second I changed the boot order back it was fixed so all good.

Now how do I go about this? What do I need to do? which disks do I remove?
