How to move over just system to SSD?

I already have some stuff on my SSD, is there a way for me to just move my system over and use it as my boot drive? Without wiping everything?

Yes... Didn't the SSD come with a cloning tool? If not, I use Easus ToDo Backup (Free) to clone drives to SSD. You are better off if you copy out the DATA that is extra and make the total transfer size smaller too

You have data on the SSD, and want to clone the HDD to SSD? That'll remove whatever is on the SSD.

A clean install would be recommended opposed to a clone, and either way (clone or clean install), you'll be losing/reinstalling whatever is on the SSD, so back it up.

There's no way just to move your OS. You either clone the drive (cloning everything, warts 'n' all), or you clean install and start from there.

I never said I wanted to clone, I just want to move my OS. I dont have enough space to clone everything.

clean install is wiser here, is it already formated onntfs or by any chance is fat32 that ssd?

1. You can't move only the OS. Not gonna work. No way, no how.
2. And what you are talking about IS cloning. But it won't work the way you're thinking.

If all you want on the new drive is the OS, then your only option is a clean install.
Of course, this requires a fresh install of all your applications as well.
Steam games may be OK, but everything else....reinstall.

Just to be clear, what you're seeking cannot work.

1. You have stuff already on the SSD. And you wish to retain it?
What stuff is this?

2. You wish to (somehow) move the OS to the SSD.
That's not gonna work.

3. You have too much actual stuff to clone everything to the SSD
What size/make/model is this SSD?
