How to open pdb files?

A friend gave me some medical reference materials before I left on a volunteer position in Trinidad and Tobago, but most are in pdb format. I can open the MSWord and pdf files but unable to read the pdb files.

Also gives a list of software that can open .pdb files near the bottom. It's a pretty specialized file format for a very specific type of data, and not something that Word or pdf readers will be able to display. Would have thought your friend would have explained a fairly important detail like that 😛
