Thanks in advance :)

Yes. If your CPU goes beyond 80°C core temp, then stop Prime. Only run small FFT. Only run version 26.6.

If your temps instantly hit 95°C then your CPU cooler is either not mounted correctly or you do not have the correct amount of paste applied. Too much or too little are both bad.

About half a chocolate chip is all that is needed, dead center of the CPU lid. Mounting pressure should be exactly as outlined in the installation manual.

It might be advisable to just stay at stock settings for now, until you can figure out the overclocking mechanisms, but I'd still double check your cooler mounting as there is no way you should be at 35-40°C at idle. Not even...
Exactly. And honestly, a modest 200rpm faster on the intake fan at any given time can stop your GPU fans from needing to blaze. Those tiny fans are a LOT louder than other fans once they get going fast, so reducing their need to do so can drastically cut down on noise levels too. Overall, it's best to let the system manage the fans from the bios, even using a custom curve that you've created, so that they're quiet when they're not needed but can pick up the pace when they are.

The bottom line though is that you DO want a balance of fan performance and quiet, so find a happy medium that works for you and that's the best you can hope for.

switched to silent mode in bios, works great now. All temps are good, Cpu cores are maxing at 49-52 C, motherboard is 30, GPU is still peaking at 67 C but cools back down to 50s, i cant even hear my 970s fans, they are actually really quiet

so im happy
