I have been able to get up to 5.40 Ghz at 1.23V but as soon as I try to go up to 5.45 I get random crashes while gaming. I tried to get to 5.5 at 1.25V but it was not stable, I used the curve optimizer in Ryzen Master and got -46. Is there anything else I can do to try to hit 5.5 GHz?

I have tried to give it more voltage past 1.24V the temps shoot up to 100C and the PC immediately crashes. I did run curve optimizer in ryzen master which gave me -8. How do I set a vcore offset in ryzen master? I have heard that people have been able to get to 5.6 GHz on air cooling.

You would set vcore offset in the bios.

Are you running this OC with Ryzen Master? If so, doing it through the bios will be better. Note the per core offsets for each core, then manually set in bios.

I am running the OC in Ryzen Master bc I am afraid to do it in the BIOS because I have had issues with RAM frequency causing the PC to boot loop and eventually getting into Windows. I am afraid to mess with the bios and cause the system to not post. Everything in my motherboard's bios is set to the default.

Perhaps it's time to call it a day and live with 5.4GHz if you don't want to ditch automatic overclocking with Ryzen Master.

The most successful overclocks are usually obtained with careful manual tuning. Ryzen Master is a blunt instrument and I don't use it on my 3800X or 7950X.

Will any of your programs benefit from an extra 1.85% in CPU speed? Probably not.
