just wondered if anyone knows how to overlay timecode to the final output in
premiere 6.5?
I need to present a video to someone with timecode visible on the output,
does anyone know if a plug in exists for this or it can be done within
premiere?

I don't think that Premiere will do this. I've downloaded SMPTE Timecode
frame generator from http://www.2writers.com/download.htm
You can set up your start and finish timecode values and burn it in to your
output.
I use it on Avid, but it should be fine for Premiere as well.

Possibly by using Avisynth in combination with Premiere.
(There is an Avisynth export plugin for Premiere, and
there are plugins for Avisynth which can be used for
overlaying the timecode, so you can "print" the video
from Premiere through Avisynth to a file. Google is
your friend here.)

Had the same problem. Ended up importing the whole Premiere project into After
Effects and applying the Video/Timecode Filter to it. Adds some time in, but it
works.
