[citation][nom]adamboy64[/nom]There's a very valid reason for the hate - and therefore, quite justified.[/citation]
i think the facebook has its purposes. i think the users/humanity as a whole are vain and narcissists. but yeah, they should apply it on tom's own website, not facebook only. i, also, have no facebook.

After the article announcing the System builder, Tom's had to get that their readers don't want to use the app if they have to use Facebook to do it. They have apparently chosen to pretend that they don't know.

I assume that they perceive this as a way to use Facebook to advertise Tom's to potential new readers, and they don't really care about the current readers who are not dumb enough to be on Facebook.

I would like to try out the System Builder, but I'm not going to infect my computer with Facebook to do it.

I do have an old computer that I don't have any data on. Does anyone know what I would have to do to open a Facebook account? Can I do it with a bogus Identity, and burn email account, and then after I've played with the System Builder, scrub the hard drive, and reload Windows XP?

Oh well now that I've said it, it sounds like to much trouble.

[citation][nom]carlhenry[/nom]lol with the facebook hate. but it's not cool since everybody does the bandwagon hate. seriously? it's getting old.[/citation]

Down with Facebook!

Seems like 90% of tom's hardware users don't have facebook or we just don't like to use it very often, so why the effort on trying to drag us to that useless page? please understand that we are not going to use facebook. Put the app in this page.

I tried the app, and found it to be quirky, I think it needs better filters. For example if I pick a specific 1366 Mobo, I shouldn't be able to pick a CPU that is not compatible. Just saying.

Uh... Tom, most of us are above failbook. Maybe this app would get used if it were on this site or on Android phones, but the majority of us are smart enough to know it's better to completely avoid any kind of app or program or addon that involves facebook.

Why don't you just put it on playstation network and then we'll use it. (That was a joke. haha. Fat chance.)

But seriously Tom, you really don't seem to understand your clientelle very well at this site...

While the Facebook app is getting rave criticism, the comment rating system is still broken and the image gallery is still unusably terrible, like it has been for years.

Whoever is directing the web team's projects needs to get their priorities straight.

Hate to sound like a broken record with all these anti-facebook comments, but seriously now... the app sounds like a decent idea, but was totally ruined once I heard it was exclusively on facebook. Help your OWN readers by putting the app on your OWN site, instead of forcing them to use someone elses.

Program it into the website, not facebook. Facebook sucks. Its horrid. Im forced into using it because my local longboarding community uses facebook to organize events. If it wasn't for this need of mine, I wouldve kept my facebook deleted like I did after I figured out that I didn't need to talk to anybody from my high school ever again

PLEASE make the app available on this site (perhaps on Android too if were really lucky so I have something to do in the bathroom). For me Facebook is only good to reconnect with old friend who finds me. Otherwise, I don't use it for two reasons: 1) Drama amongst women you're dating 2)It's the world's biggest (anti-)social networking site (which cannot compare to the beautiful nuances of human voice interaction). How is it social to not hear anyone live or see anyone in person? It is dehumanizing us into mere avatars of ourselves.

I hate forkbook,

it always makes me suspicious that even though MySpace came way before it that the corporate media arm seemed to constantly push FB as THE social networking site doing everything they could to negate MySpace..I still wonder what the payoff or connections involved were. Collusion, greed, and criminality at its finest.

Tom's needs to put the builder application here.

you can't use the ASRock Fatal1ty professional board in this app despite "Tom’s Hardware High-End P67 Approved Award"...fail much?

it would be so cool to have a shoping card or an app. that can tell you if the cpu, GPU, ram, mobo, etc is not up to the level or way high for the parts you are choosing...
