I recently purchased an Elgato HD60 S during boxing day. I could stream/record PS4 footage in great quality.

I was hoping to do the same when streaming/recording PC gameplay. I have an OC'd i7 8700k @ 5 ghz and a GTX 1080 TI. The games I play run great in 1440p @ 144hz but I can't say the same for the stream. The stream looks very choppy. With or without using the HD60 S.

I don't believe internet is an issue, b/c the stream preview itself is lagging even without actually streaming. Also I have a decent speed in internet.

How could I remove the lag on my stream when streaming in 1440p 144hz?

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks

I've been tinkering with this for a while, but unfortunately, enabling 60Hz VSync is the ideal solution. You can enable it through your games, or just set it through the driver.

Compounding the issue is that some games (CSGO for example) have a hard time running VSync unless you cap the frames the game actually wants to render. "fps_max 120" got my CS:GO to work fairly well with my GTX1080 at 1080p.

I was in the market for a shiny new FreeSync monitor for my GTX 1080 (now that it is supported) but this killed that dream.
