I see all these Numbers with memory products and I get the ram size 8 gig 16 gig. But what does the rest of the numbers mean or do they matter in choosing memory? such as F4-3000C16D-16GTZR DDR4

Solution
The rest depends on particular make and their codes.
DDR4, type of DDR memory. 288 pins connector etc. that's standard for all.
3000 is highest speed/frequency it's capable of using XMP (eXtreme Memory Profile) type of automatic overclocking.
C16 in this case is Cl16 (Cas letency) value.
16GTZR is for either one 16GB module or kit of 2 or more sticks each one as a divider fro 16, 2 x 8GB or 4 x 4GB and letters associate to it's cooler config and or color etc.
