How to reattach reset button on computer casing

I was playing in my computer (open case) I live in a tropical country when I heard a spark and a squeal shut off my computer immediately and disassemble it only to find a dead mouse and the reset cord separate from the reset button is there any chance to fix it

Is this the thing with a scroll wheel and buttons?
Or the furry thing with eyeballs and teeth?

Oh my.

Well...he probably didn't do any surgical wire removal. Just a bit of chewing.

I imagine you could strip the wires back and solder together. A bit of heat shrink over it, and all should be good.

I don't suppose you have a pic of the lunched upon cable and the corpse, do you?

Sadly no its kinda disgusting the smell + the mouse mouth bloodied I almost threw up but I can provide an image without the rat I removed the power button out of the case for further inspection anyway
