How to record audio to flash drive

Is there equipment available to record the audio portion of recorded tv programs directly to a USB flash drive?

First you need software that can separate the audio from the video and save it to your hard drive. Then just copy that file to any drive you like. However, the stumbling block is the separation software required - I don't know of any.
