Windows 10 is the first operating system that takes gaming seriously. Not only does it have Xbox integration, it also works better with all manner of games. One neat trick up its sleeve is the Game Bar, part of that Xbox app that enables you to record gameplay and upload it to your video sharing site of choice. Here’s how to record gameplay with Windows 10 Game Bar.
Record gameplay with Windows 10 Game Bar
Not only can you record your gameplay, you can also take screenshots and share them on your social networks or with friends. The Game Bar will appear at the bottom of the screen. If you’re not in a game, Windows will ask you if you really want to open it. If you don’t see the bar and you’re playing in full screen, it might still be there but not visible. Use the keyboard shortcuts I list below to still use the Game Bar while gaming full screen.
1. Open the Windows 10 Game Bar by pressing the Windows key + G.
2. Click the red record button in the bar to begin recording your gameplay.
3. Click the red button once more to stop recording.
4. Click the camera icon in the Game Bar to take a screenshot.
Recordings will be saved in your User Account folder under Videos\Captures. You can watch them through Xbox app or via Windows Explorer.
