Few days ago, I formatted my windows partition and installed a new one, but forgot to take some files from my documents in the old windows partition, is there a way to recover the lost files ?

Formatted, and then installed a new OS in that partitions?

If so, there is no way for a 100% recovery. Some/most of that data has been actually overwritten. It is gone.

You can try something like Autopsy.


This is why full drive backups are important. You can't "forget" some of it.
The whole drive needs to be backed up.
